Licensed Aircraft Engineer III

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer III to perform routine maintenance and defect rectification on its fleet in the Maldives. The role ensures compliance with manufacturer procedures, local safety regulations and GCAA standards while maximizing aircraft ground time.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance and servicing tasks in line with approved technical publications, quality notices and engineering manuals.
• Manage spares handling, tooling and cost‑control processes to achieve right‑first‑time repairs and minimise delays.
• Ensure safety compliance, housekeeping and airport driving permit requirements are met at all times.
• Provide performance reviews, coaching and shift‑manager support for junior staff and trainees.

Required profile

• National or Higher National Diploma (or equivalent apprenticeship) in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering.
• UAE GCAA/ICAO Type II or JAR 66 licence type‑rated on at least one Emirates aircraft type.
• Minimum 7 years experience as an Aircraft Technician in a reputable airline or MRO.
• Right to live and work in the Maldives.
