Assistant Cost Controller – Finance (Maldives)

About the role

Join the Finance team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island as an Assistant Cost Controller. You will support cost monitoring, inventory management, and financial reporting for the resort’s food, beverage, and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and controlling food, beverage, and operational costs.
• Verify and process supplier invoices in line with company policies.
• Reconcile daily inventory transactions and conduct physical counts.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cost control reports for management.
• Review menu recipes and standard costing to maintain accurate F&B costs.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, Stores, Kitchen and Finance teams for effective inventory control.
• Monitor wastage, spoilage and stock usage, recommending cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support month‑end closing activities, including inventory valuation and cost‑related journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and proper documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, hospitality management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in cost control, inventory or finance, preferably within hospitality.
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/POS systems.
