Hostess - Russian Speaker

About the role

Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa, a five-star resort in the Noonu Atoll of the Maldives, is looking for a Hostess fluent in Russian. The role welcomes and greets guests, manages reservations and seating, and supports the restaurant's day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally, paying special attention to English-speaking and Russian-speaking guests.
• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus and explain meal plan inclusions.
• Manage reservations, seating plans, waiting lists and special table arrangements for celebrations.
• Liaise with the Food & Beverage service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth, timely operations.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns, and collect guest feedback, reporting daily to the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hostess desk and restaurant entrance, and perform opening and closing duties.
• Pay close attention to table arrangements, menu presentation, cleanliness standards and guest-facing materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Hostess or in a guest-facing role in a five-star hotel or luxury resort.
• Fluency in English and Russian; additional languages are an advantage.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong guest focus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage restaurant reservations and seating arrangements.
• Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards and dining etiquette.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations and international cuisine.
