Landscaping Manager

About the role

Lead and manage all landscaping and horticultural operations across Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa, ensuring that gardens, lawns, beach vegetation and public areas meet luxury hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish new gardens, develop planting concepts, select plants, prepare soil and oversee planting.
• Supervise, train and motivate the landscaping team, promoting safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor plant health through irrigation, fertilisation, pruning, pest and disease management, adapting practices to sandy soils, salt exposure and limited freshwater.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee landscaping enhancement projects, garden redesigns and new developments within budget and quality standards.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, control operating expenses and oversee procurement, inventory and storage of plants, tools and materials.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Sustainability and Guest Experience teams for events, weddings and special functions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Landscaping, Horticulture, Agriculture, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in hospitality or luxury resorts preferred.
• Portfolio of completed landscaping projects with clear responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills with a hands‑on approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tropical plants, irrigation systems, turf management and pest control.
• Practical experience managing sandy soils, salt exposure and water‑efficient planting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
