About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commis to join the Shimmers Kitchen team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, Maldives. The role supports the culinary team by delivering high‑quality food service and maintaining impeccable hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient, friendly, and attentive service to exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain clean and functional refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas in line with health and hygiene regulations.
• Learn and apply HACCP food hygiene and safety standards.
• Uphold high standards of social interaction with guests and colleagues.
• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes.
• Check and control proper storage of products.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Commis or in a similar kitchen role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge.
