Speedboat Captain - Front Office

About the role

The Speedboat Captain will join the Front Office team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, ensuring safe and seamless guest transport across the resort’s waters. This position blends marine operation expertise with hospitality service standards to deliver memorable experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the speedboat using GPS chart plotter and radar systems, adjusting routes and speed according to weather and sea conditions.
• Conduct pre‑departure checks of lube oil, fuel, coolant and diesel levels, recording any faults for the Supervisor.
• Complete daily checklists, log voyage details, fuel balance and engine hours as per resort policy.
• Inspect vessels for seaworthiness and compliance with Maldivian Maritime Laws, reporting defects promptly.
• Supervise guest embarkation and disembarkation, providing extra assistance to guests with disabilities, the elderly and children.
• Coordinate with Airport and Resort teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate with a high school diploma, preferably completed a maritime, hospitality or tourism‑related course.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn marine operations within a hospitality setting.
