Speedboat Captain – Front Office (Maldives)

About the role

The resort is seeking a Speedboat Captain to join the Front Office team, providing safe and premium water transport for guests at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, Maldives.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Guest Transport SOP and Jumeirah quality standards to exceed guest expectations.
• Steer and operate the speedboat using GPS chart plotter and radar, adjusting routes for weather and sea conditions.
• Perform pre‑start checks of oil, fuel, coolant and diesel, and report any faults.
• Complete daily checklists, record voyage details, fuel balance and engine hours.
• Inspect vessels for seaworthiness and compliance with Maldivian maritime regulations.
• Supervise guest embarkation/disembarkation, paying special attention to children, elderly and disabled guests.
• Coordinate with airport and resort teams to ensure seamless arrivals and departures.
• Maintain boat cleanliness, stock, and safety equipment before each movement.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate with a high school diploma, preferably completed a maritime, hospitality or tourism course.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on learning marine operations.
