Waiter/ess for Shimmers at Jumeirah Olhahali Island

About the role

The Shimmers team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island is seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/ess to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests on this luxury Maldives resort.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables and explain seating arrangements.
• Present menu items, discuss preparation methods, ingredients and address dietary restrictions.
• Promote daily specials and promotions not listed on the menu.
• Serve food using proper techniques and adhere to established serving standards.
• Handle cashiering duties via the MICROS system, generate and present bills, and process payments.
• Collect guest feedback, resolve issues promptly and ensure overall satisfaction.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Industry.
• Basic Food and Hygiene Training.
• 1‑2 years of experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.
• Experience working in an international environment with cultural awareness.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of Opera (Cloud) property management system.
• Experience using the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
