Dive Instructor for Luxury Resort

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Dive Instructor to join our Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort team. You will deliver high‑quality diving instruction and guide guests through the stunning coral reefs of the Maldives while ensuring safety and memorable underwater experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diving lessons and certifications for all skill levels following PADI or equivalent standards.
• Perform pre‑dive briefings covering site conditions, safety procedures, marine life awareness and emergency protocols.
• Demonstrate proper diving techniques, equipment usage and underwater navigation.
• Monitor diver safety, maintain appropriate group sizes and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, certifications and diving logs.
• Inspect and maintain diving equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Educate divers on marine conservation, local reef ecosystems and responsible diving practices.

Required profile

• Valid PADI Divemaster certification or equivalent (IDC, SSI, NAUI).
• Minimum 2 years of professional diving instruction experience.
• Advanced Open Water Diver certification or higher.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent swimming ability and strong knowledge of marine life and reef ecosystems.
• Physical fitness and stamina for demanding underwater activities.
