Chef de Partie – Japanese Cuisine (Kayto)

About the role

We are looking for a Chef de Partie specializing in Japanese cuisine to join the culinary team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a luxury resort in the Maldives. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, 5‑star environment, delivering high‑quality dishes that exceed guest expectations while supporting the overall kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Japanese menu items following standard recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain strict portion control and ensure proper storage of all food products.
• Inspect and select only the highest‑quality ingredients for menu preparation.
• Assist in pantry preparation, inventory checks, and daily cleaning of walk‑in and reach‑in storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues during briefings and pass on important information.
• Adhere to grooming, hygiene, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury 5‑star hotel or resort kitchen.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience guiding and training junior team members.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different kitchen stations and cuisines.
