Commis – Shimmers Kitchen (Maldives)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commis to join the culinary team at Shimmers Kitchen on Olhahali Island. The role focuses on delivering efficient, friendly service while supporting food preparation and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient, friendly and attentive service to exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain clean and compliant refrigeration, equipment, storage and work areas.
• Learn and apply HACCP food hygiene and safety standards.
• Uphold high social standards with guests and colleagues at all times.
• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes.
• Check and control proper storage of products.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar commis role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
