Telephone Operator

About the role

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, an all-inclusive resort in the Southern Maldives, is looking for a full-time Telephone Operator. The role handles guest and colleague calls with courtesy and efficiency, keeping communication channels open and accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Direct calls to the appropriate departments or individuals.
• Respond to general inquiries and provide accurate information.
• Take and relay messages promptly.
• Maintain an updated telephone directory and contact list.
• Handle emergency calls and follow established communication procedures.
• Ensure courteous and professional communication with guests and colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in telephone operations, customer service or hospitality is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Pleasant, clear and professional telephone manner.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with telephone systems.
