About the role

Join the Shimmers team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island as a Waiter/ess, delivering attentive and friendly service to guests in a luxury resort setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort them to tables and explain seating arrangements.
• Present menu items, discuss preparation methods, ingredients and address dietary restrictions.
• Promote daily specials and promotions not listed on the menu.
• Serve food using proper techniques and adhere to serving standards.
• Handle cashiering duties through the MICROS system, generate and present bills, and process payments.
• Collect guest feedback, resolve issues promptly and ensure overall satisfaction.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality.
• Basic Food and Hygiene training.
• 1‑2 years of experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with respect for cultural differences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Opera (Cloud) property management system.
• Experience with MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
