Chef de Partie – Japanese Cuisine at Luxury Island Resort

About the role

The position is for a Chef de Partie specializing in Japanese cuisine at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a luxury resort in the Maldives. You will contribute to delivering high‑quality dining experiences for discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pantry food items according to standard recipes and maintain consistency.
• Inspect, select and use only the highest‑standard food items for menu preparation.
• Control proper storage of products, manage portion control and conduct daily inventory of walk‑in and reach‑in boxes.
• Maintain hygiene, grooming standards and comply with safety regulations and SOPs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury 5‑star environment.
• Hands‑on experience guiding and developing junior colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Openness to training across different stations and cuisines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene practices.
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine preparation techniques.
