Chef de Partie – Japanese Cuisine

About the role

The Jumeirah Olhahali Island resort is seeking a Chef de Partie specialized in Japanese cuisine to join its luxury culinary team. You will help deliver exceptional dining experiences for discerning guests in a 5‑star island setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present Japanese menu items following standard recipes and quality standards.
• Inspect, select, and use only the highest‑quality food items.
• Control proper storage, portion sizes, and inventory of walk‑in and reach‑in boxes.
• Maintain hygiene, grooming, and safety standards at all times.
• Pass on information to colleagues during briefings and support junior staff through training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury 5‑star hotel or resort kitchen.
• Hands‑on experience guiding and developing junior colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and hygiene practices.
• Knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques and recipes.
