Commis (Kitchen Assistant) – Luxury Resort, Maldives

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to join the culinary team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a contemporary luxury resort in the Maldives. The successful candidate will support the kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and exceptional guest experiences in a fast‑paced, upscale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of refrigeration units, equipment, and storage areas in line with health regulations.
• Assist in checking and controlling proper storage of products.
• Support the kitchen team during service periods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Continuously learn and apply HACCP food safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Commis or similar kitchen role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food hygiene and safety standards.
