About the role

Join the culinary team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a contemporary luxury resort in the Maldives, as a Demi Chef De Partie specializing in open‑fire cuisine and seafood grilling. You will work in a fast‑paced, 5‑star environment delivering high‑quality dishes to discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using open‑fire techniques and seafood grilling, adhering to standard recipes.
• Inspect, select, and use only the highest‑quality food items.
• Maintain proper storage, portion control, and inventory of walk‑in and reach‑in boxes.
• Uphold HACCP standards, food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and company SOPs.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Assist in briefing colleagues and pass on relevant information.
• Support grooming, hygiene, and safety compliance.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a luxury 5‑star hotel or resort kitchen.
• Hands‑on experience training and guiding junior team members.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to different stations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
