Food & Beverage Service Internship – Maldives

About the role

An exciting internship opportunity with the Food & Beverage Service team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, offering hands‑on experience in a luxury resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, plating and presentation following established recipes.
• Support daily kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, organization and efficient workflow.
• Uphold high standards of food hygiene, sanitisation and safety in line with HACCP and company guidelines.
• Participate in mise en place preparation, ensuring ingredients and equipment are ready for service.
• Execute tasks as directed by chefs and management, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma, certificate or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or a related field.
• Passion for food preparation, culinary techniques and hospitality excellence.
• Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene and commercial kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
