Kitchen Intern – Luxury Resort, Maldives

About the role

The internship offers a hands‑on experience within the Food & Beverage team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a luxury resort in the Maldives. You will support the delivery of high‑quality service across the resort’s restaurants, bars and private dining venues while learning the standards of a world‑class hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating and present menus in line with service standards.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve meals and drinks professionally, following the established sequence of service.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas, service stations and table settings.
• Assist with mise en place, ensuring all cutlery, glassware and condiments are ready.
• Support special events, themed dinners and private dining setups.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Record stock levels and requisitions as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or student in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, Tourism or related field.
• Genuine interest in luxury hospitality and F&B operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests from diverse cultures.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and varying hours.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow service standards.
