Reservation Agent – Luxury Resort, Maldives

About the role

The Reservation Agent will join the Reservation team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a contemporary luxury resort in the Maldives. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling email and telephone enquiries, and ensuring smooth booking processes.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest emails within 24 hours and answer calls within three rings, following IFH & LQA standards.
• Collect and verify all guest details (passport copies, flight information, special occasions, preferences) and update them accurately in the Opera system.
• Read reservation correspondence for special instructions and relay information to relevant departments.
• Communicate last‑minute changes, cancellations, and additional information to appropriate teams.
• Guarantee bookings with payment before the cancellation period and manage no‑show follow‑ups.
• Report online bookings lacking payment or mismatched contact details.
• Reconcile commissionable bookings in the extranet and apply appropriate rates for partners and non‑partners.
• Generate invoices, process online card payments, and protect guest and company records.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience handling reservations in a hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with the Opera reservation system.
