Sous Chef – Italian Cuisine at Casalucia Resort

About the role

The resort is seeking a Sous Chef specialised in Italian cuisine to support the culinary team at Casalucia, Jumeirah Olhahali Island. You will help deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation for special orders, buffets, VIP requests and other functions.
• Conduct spot checks to ensure compliance with hygiene, storage and par stock procedures.
• Maintain recipes, costing, SOPs and production instructions for your section.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is well‑maintained and minimise breakages.
• Communicate effectively with superiors about equipment, guest requests and team issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury resort or high‑end restaurant.
• Proven ability to train and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for guest complaints and operational issues.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
