Executive Pastry Chef – Luxury Island Resort

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Jumeirah Olhahali Island, a contemporary island retreat in the Maldives. You will lead the pastry operation across all outlets, delivering innovative desserts that reflect Jumeirah’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and manage the pastry team to produce high‑quality, creative desserts and baked goods.
• Develop and design pastry menus aligned with brand standards and seasonal trends.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation and taste of all pastry items served.
• Maintain inventory, control costs and manage supplier relationships.
• Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in the pastry kitchen.
• Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and team members.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage team for seamless operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality pastry operations.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
